COURSE DURATION

ASSESSMENT
The theory part of this course will be assessed through regular written assignments, which will be marked by your tutor. You will need to complete your coursework before you attend the 4 days practical training.

STUDY METHOD
The course is designed for study by remote learning from home or work. You will receive a course material, assignments and tutor support for the theoretical part and will also need to attend 4 practical training days. You will have a choice of over 20 centres to choose from throughout the UK in major cities.
COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a level 3 NCFE certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 3 on The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (where level 2 and 3 courses are similar in difficulty to GCSEs and A Levels, respectively).
The training courses have been designed specifically to meet the needs of learners who prefer to study from home. The course measurable learning outcomes have been benchmarked at Level 3 (using Ofqual's QCF level descriptors) to allow you to consider the depth of study, difficulty, and level of achievement involved. This course has been accredited under NCFE IIQ Licence by Open Study College which has been approved as an NCFE Investing in Quality (IIQ) centre to give formal recognition to courses.
NCFE is recognised as an Awarding Organisation by the qualification regulators for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. These are Ofqual (the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator in England); the Welsh Government and CCEA (the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment) in Northern Ireland.
COURSE QUESTIONS & ANSWERS WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS COURSE?
For the theoretical part of this course (Beauty Therapy Level 2) you do not need any previous understanding. The practical day requirements are as follows:
Facial:
No previous skills or understanding required. You may need to provide your own model.
Manicure and Pedicure:
No previous skills or knowledge required. You will receive a kit which will be delivered to you when you are booked onto this practical. You need to bring this with you on the day.
Eyebrow design and define:
No previous skills or knowledge required. Patch tests must be completed 48 hours before the practical day, tint to be purchased by you on your practical day. You will be working on others.
Warm Waxing:
No previous skills or knowledge required. You must ensure you have a minimum of 3mm hair growth.
IS THERE A TIME LIMIT FOR THE COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE?
You may start at any time and have 12 months complete your studies. This course is flexible and adaptable around your lifestyle.
HOW DO I ARRANGE MY PRACTICAL DAYS?
Once you have passed your written assignments, you may book your practical days. You just need to call us whenever you`re ready and we`ll help arrange this for you. Some of the practical days require kits, which you will receive from us once you are booked onto your practical day.
