Overview
The objective of our Online A-Level Economics E-Learning Course to develop student's understanding of the economic and social environment. This course will inform student's understanding of a broad range of concepts and the student will learn to apply them in different contexts. The student will learn to think like an economist and will develop an enquiring, critical and thoughtful approach to his study. In the process the student will also develop skills, qualities and attitudes that will prepare him for advanced studies.

During this course you will use a mixture of lessons, activities, core reading and assessments.
Assessment
The course contains a number of assignments which your tutor will mark and give the student valuable feedback on. These are called Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs).
Examinations
AS Level
- Unit 1: ECON1 Markets and Market Failure- Examination: 1 hour 15 minutes
- Unit 2: ECON2 The National Economy- Examination: 1 hour 15 minutes
A2 Level
- Unit 3: ECON3 Business Economics and the Distribution of Income- Examination: 2 hours
- Unit 4: ECON4 The National and International Economy- Examination: 2 hours
AS + A2 = A level in Economics. Both AS and A2 level courses and examinations must be successfully completed to gain a full A level.
