Overview
The objective of our Online A-Level Maths & Statistics E-Learning Course to develop student's understanding of mathematics and mathematical processes and develop their ability to reason logically. During this course the student will acquire mathematical skills and techniques and learn about their application. The student will gain knowledge about different areas of mathematics and their inter connection to each other. The student will also learn about the relevance of mathematics in the world.
This online course will enable students to: - Learn about mathematics and mathematical processes;
- Develop abilities to reason logically;
- Expand their range of mathematical skills and techniques and use them in more difficult unstructured problems;
- Develop an understanding of coherence and progression in mathematics and of how different areas of mathematics can be connected;
- Recognise mathematical representation of a situation and the relationship between 'real world' problems and standard;
- Use mathematics as an effective means of communication;
- Read and comprehend mathematical arguments and articles concerning applications of mathematics;
- Develop the skills needed to use technology such as calculators and computers effectively;
- Develop an awareness of the relevance of mathematics to other fields of study, to the world of work and to society in general;
- Take increasing responsibility for their own learning and the evaluation of their own mathematical development.

Assessment

Each unit has 1 written paper of 1 hour 30 minutes.
AS + A2 = A level in Maths and Statistics. Both AS and A2 level courses and examinations must be successfully completed to gain a full A level.
