level 1 curriculum.
Here we are going to understand about concepts such as portfolio basis for endowments, portfolio basis of banks, portfolio management process, pooled investment, exchange traded fund.
After this we would see risk and return theory in managing portfolio’s such as risk aversion, correlation and risk return, return measures, money weighted return – problem, minimum variance frontier and efficient frontier, indifference curves, mean, variance and covariance, return generating models, combining risky and risk free asset, systematic and unsystematic risk.
Next important concepts in relation to building a portfolio is about the assumptions of capital market theory, strategic asset allocation, basic of portfolio planning and construction.
