Overview
The objective of our Online A-Level Psychology E-Learning Course to develop student's understanding of how science contributes to the success of society. The student will learn about different areas of psychology and how they relate to each other. During this course the student will acquire transferable skills of analysis, evaluation and critical thinking. The student will also gain understanding of how science works, which will prepare him for advance study.
This online course will enable students to: - Develop their interest in the subject, including further study and careers in the subject
- Appreciate how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society
- Develop and demonstrate a deeper appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of How Science Works

During this course you will use a mixture of lessons, activities, core reading and assessments.
Assessment
The course contains a number of assignments which your tutor will mark and give the student valuable feedback on. These are called Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs).
Examinations
AS Level
- Unit 1: PSYA1 Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Research Methods- Examination: 1 hour 30 minutes
- Unit 2: PSYA2 Biological Psychology, Social Psychology and Individual Differences- Examination: 1 hour 30 minutes
A2 Level
- Unit 3: PSYA3 Topics in Psychology- Examination: 1 hour 30 minutes
- Unit 4: PSYA4 Psychopathology, Psychology in Action and Research Methods- Examination: 2 hours
AS + A2 = A level in Psychology. Both AS and A2 level courses and examinations must be successfully completed to gain a full A level.
